So I'll be joining in the beltane festivities again this year. It was pretty fun last year, and I always love the opportunity to read Harry, Snape, and Draco in any combination that should arise.
I've been less involved in the fandom recently (new job and working on my own, original fiction), but I am still reading far too much slash for my own good. | HD_worldcup Reveal! |

Well, hd_worldcup has come to a close and the Big Reveal went up last night. It was a lot of fun, although I don't know if I'll be volunteering to be Team Captain again any time soon, and had some great fics posted. Check out gossymer's Sortable Masterlist.
My own fic, Companions in the Dark, got some good comments, which I'm happy about, but also some iffy ones. Mainly concerning length and what I didn't include. Unfortunately, I had less than 2 weeks to write because I was an alternate, and it takes me a while to write anything because I obsess over every word ^^; I focused on the prompt, which was the Death Tarot Card, pretty much exclusively, so all of the scenes revolve around it. I'm posting it here now- please let me know if you enjoy it. I may pick up the story again and tell it more from Severus' perspective, and then more from Harry's, and kind of stitch it together that way. And then maybe continue it... I haven't decided yet. It pretty much depends on whether or not I get the job I'm going in for an interview for next week :)

So you've probably noticed that the snarry_games opened just a few days ago. I'm really nervous about how my fic will be received. It's the longest thing I've ever written in the HP fandom, and also... the sex isn't til the end.
I KNOW, right? That practically never happens. I think it really surprised people when I answered my Champion Interview question the way I did.
5. What would you consider your greatest strength in writing?
hm... the sex parts? That sounds awful, but I think it's true. The sex scenes always came easiest to me, and it's only recently that I've tried really hard to create more interesting, multi-layered, longer plots.
Heh. I don't know what that says about me. Maybe that I'm repressed sexually? I don't think that's the case...
Speaking of, I am currently trying to sell off some of my yaoi, but am too attached to get rid of it all completely. I think it's a monumentally bad idea to be trying to keep it hidden during a move (especially a move into my bf's parent's house), but oh well ^^;
Yes, I am moving on Sunday. Yes, I am moving into my bf's parent's house with him. Yes, I hope it will only be a month before we get jobs in the new city and find an apartment of our own. *crosses fingers*
